Diet Boomerang

The stone I lose
keeps coming back.
Must be the way
I hold my mouth.

Towards the end

My sister always reads
the end of the story first.
I look to see
how many pages
and when I'm bored
keep checking
how much is left,
but though I'm sixty
and just filling in time
waiting
I wouldn't want to know
in advance
when.

Prayer

Darkness,
aren't you tired
of holding me up?
Neither clothed nor naked,
let me go
into the light.
